    Default brake lights

Hmmm, this doesn't really fit in any of the sub-forums, but here it is anyway. Having a problem with my Tundra's brake light. The tail light/brake light functions are shared by one bulb, turn signal is a different bulb altogether. When I turn on the headlights, the tail light comes on just fine. But when I step on the brakes, the light does not get brighter.

Any idea what would do that? Don't think it would be a fuse.

OK, sort of semi-related...now when I step on the brakes, my headlights dim a little for a second. Happens most when I step on the brake, a little less when I turn on the heater. Electrical short somewhere maybe? Any idea how to check where?

Dan I just I got done fighting grounds on my pickup. All my contacts points to the cab and body needed cleaning.

The main ground running to the frame was no bueno as well.

I'd check grounds big time before anything.

Was a good lesson for me as I know exactly dork about wiring in general.

OK, I will check the grounds then. I know less than dork about wiring, so this should be fun Battery is only 6 months old or so, so that part should be fine.

    Thanks!
