Things are changing for the mid term, no $$$ to finish building what I was aiming for. Things are way to tight to do my SOA and build the 44 and 9in.

Sooooo, switching to some widetrack stock CJ axles, and looking for the cheeeeepest lift springs anyone may have laying around so Ican still use the 33's I have.

Tryingto get this rig back on the road pronto and super cheap.

Thanks,
Blair

This thing may just roll on it's own power this summer.

Maybe...

Got a rear 44 w 3.73's and traclock a couple weeks back, supposed to pick up a D30 w/ 3.73's this week.

Got that set of springs...........Been tinkering with the HEI and MC2100, this thing might just be driveable here very soon.

Hey Blair,

this sounds great. I didn't know you were still looking for springs, I thought you got some a long time ago...what did you end up finding?

 Let me tell ya all about it..............

I had two sets of 4" I was chasing and they were both cheap.

I think one set was some you or someone else PM'd me off of Craigslist down in Goldvein.

I emailed that guy, we went back and forth, he sold them before I could get down there on a Saturday.

Second set is up in Winchester, still on a CJ, but behind a garage under construction with no way to get back in the yard and remove them safely.

And that owner is slow to respond to PM's on NOVA.

If he gets the garage done this summer and can move the Jeep, I may get those and throw them in the shed. To cheap to pass up. Those are 4" or 4.5".

I scored a set of CJ 2.5" off a guy on Creepers. $50 and he dropped them off at my folks place in MD. Real nice guy.

I'm getting excited again, had kinda lost interest in the CJ for a bit.

You know one of my places down there is right next door to windwood coves. It is in Anna coves.

Is that your old place with the Cabin?

I wish I could afford something like that. We've seriously discussed taking some coin out of our meager retirement and put down on a place there.

Maybe next year when things are going a little better and evened out.

I hadn't spent much time down there until recently. I have to admit, it brings back memories of running the Grady with Dad up and down the lake eon's ago..........if we weren't there when I was a kid, we'd be up in MD running the bay.

I might have to sell my old Galaxie and find me a old boat............
