Hi,
My name is Don…(WinkTJ on most of the boards)
I have had an ‘02 TJ Sport for about 16 mo. now. I got the lift and tires almost immediately. For the “Look” mostly. Then went on some GW trail rides with the NOVA Jeepers. About 9 months ago I went on an Open Wheeling ride at Rausch Creek. Hubdeep was the trail guide. We got to a place where it looked like the trail ended and there was nothing but big rocks and boulders going down this hill. I asked Hub, “We aren’t going down there are we?” Hub’s answer was,” yea, …you’ll be alright”……..OK, so I’m at the bottom of this pile of rocks…a big ass grin on my face that Barbara says can’t possibly be wiped off :D ,….and thinking to myself …."I need some skids…cuz, I really like this." Well, my mods and upgrades have gone far beyond just skids and that whole “look” thing has gone out the window. I have been back to Raush Creek a number of times, wheeled at Paragon, and I can’t seem to stay away from Crozet for to long. In other words, I’m hooked. Thanks Hub. It’s all your fault. :mrgreen:
I am also a member of OCC.
Chris and Heather have asked me to guide down at Crozet a couple of times. That was a suprise since some of the people in the group have more experience than I do...but it's fun.
Being new to the sport I have a ton to learn. But I seem to learn something new almost everyday just reading the boards. Looking forward to picking some brains on this one as well.
