So for the longest time I have been looking at buying a lift kit for my Rubicon. Most of the kits I have been looking at run a minimum of $1500 to upwards of $4000. For someone who hasnt owned their Jeep for a while and is just getting started with my Jeep this was a bit disheartening.
Thanks to Bigwillys I found myself the proud owner of a used budget boost. A set of Rancho shocks for a 4" lift and a 1" body lift and you have where I am today. While the longer shocks would seem to limit up travel they dont seem to be a problem on road, and off road, well see the pics...I would have to say they do nothing to limit flex.
While 3" of lift may not sound like much compared to what todays long arm suspensions can do with 6 or more inches of lift I have been greatly suprised by what my Rubicon can now do.
Visually it does sit higher, and when compared to a stock height Rubicon the lift is even more noticable, but looks arent what I was after. It was increased height for increased performance. Driving on the road with the lift i notice no difference in handling or performance, but off road well I will let the pictures tell the story.
Would you belive this is just a 2" BB with 1" BL??????
