I have an opportunity to pick up one of these for about $150, running, locally. Should I go for it?

It's been slightly modified with an extended body, but was an excellent job. Looks very professional. Body is in decent shape without too much rust and the frame is solid.

I have the funds to buy it ;) $150 isn't that big of a hit on me, but just lacking the
TLC funds at the moment ;)

But on the good side. It looks like pretty much 90% of what's there is salvagable.
Very minimal rust. Interior needs, of course, replaced. Canvas top will need done as
well, and a custom job with the extended body. But since it runs decent, that's a big
plus. Think I'm going to go pick it up this weekend.

I'd hack the back end down to stock or you are going to have a lousy declination angle.

Well I wouldn't build something like that to really offroad (though I might a little ;)) I would build it to restore!

nah... guy said give him a call back in 2 or 3 days and he ended up having some local guy offer him $550 for it. Was still worth it, but was a few days before I was moving and I really didn't have $500+ to move yet another vehicle damned near across the state!
