This video invalidates ATV and motorcycle use as legitimate OHV recreations due to the opening position of OHVing as communication tool to bring friends and family together while in the throws of participation. Fails to point out that animal run-off in streams causes nitrate poisoning of streams, causing an bloom in plant growth which chokes out fish and traps silt. Plus no mention that the number of streams in the US that do not have a water quality warning or outright ban from entry and/or consumption of game can be counted on one hand. Fails to acknowledge stream bed erosion and water contamination from vehicle lubricants and fuels while equating open water boating to stream crossings. The statistical cause for forest fires is not lightning strike but human cause, usually of the nature of controlled burn that gets out of control. Virginia forest fire statistics (http://www.dof.virginia.gov/fire/fire-causes.shtml) Further fails to note that forest trails do not make adequate firebreaks. Clear cutting 1/4 mile swaths make adequate fire brakes and rejuvenates wildlife habitat (http://www.thefurtrapper.com/forest_fires.htm) verses the statement in the short about a forest taking 50 years to rejuvenate.

Honestly, great presentation but poor marketing. Reminds me of a bumper sticker I once saw, "Your mother choose life". Nice slogan except I bet that doesn't play well to women who have had miscarriages.

The bit about the kid forgetting the PSP... that speaks more about the disfunctionality of the family that need to fabricate a scenario to foster child/parent communication, not a message the OHV community needs to get behind. National Lampoon Vacation anyone?

Yes I do.

Don't stifle the child with strict rules and structure (raised by a military family).
Don't let the child run free to learn the lessons of life on its own (hippy upbringing)
Somewhere right in the middle is usually best but don't forget that a child is not an adult, it doesn't pop out of the womb with an immediate grasp of adult concepts. The parents should explain why rules are in place, why people do the things they do.

Raise a child that takes the lessons and knowledge you have voiced, apply it to the real world to adapt and overcome while living out from under the watchful eyes of the parents. In short, the end goal is to produce responsible adults.
