Local food drive

Here in fredericksburg, the local paper sponsors a food drive during the summer every year. I've been helping them out with it for the last 4years or so collecting food.

This year I'm cooking for the event. I have a couple 3-5gal cast iron pots and some propane burners I'm going to be hooking up some homeade louisiana-style jambalaya for the day and will be cooking on the spot.

Will probably have some radio coverage and maybe the club could get some recognition for coming down and making a showing, maybe a couple pics in the newspaper, and a day of some good food and helping out.

No date set yet, but it's at least a month out, most likely two.

Anyone interested? Will probably be on a saturday during the hottest part of the day in july ;)

FYI last year we collected more than half a ton of food in about 6hrs out there. So it isn't really small time stuff, but not huge either. Would be a nice showing of support regardless if anyone could make it down.
