I bought two kayaks, Wilderness Pungo Classic's, from REI for like $350 each...we love them! They are general purpose kayaks, track great...not white water but anything from flat to slowly moving water.

The canoe place down here in Fredneck is selling used ones. It's called
Rappahannock outdoors,540-371-5085.
Last I asked about the canoes(plastic old town's), they wanted more than a new one would cost at LL Beans!!!! So I don't know if you would like their kayak price......
