Correct me if I'm wrong...

I picked up a vac disco D30 for an XJ that's geared to match my rear.

Now I can put a couple washers in the fork to force it to stay latched and in 4wd and that's the easy fix right? Seal it back up and go....

Really don't want to spend $150+ for the cable actuated system...

Now can I toss some non-disco 1pc axle shafts in there and seal up the vac disco motor and not have any problem? I thought I read something on a tech site about needing new seals or something...

We put a TJ shaft in my YJ, no disconnect. The hard part was figuring out what seals to use. I'm not sure what we ended up with. For what you have you should be able to just slide the slip collars down and enguage the shaft then weld the collar in place.

my XJ non-disco shafts should work as well though right? I don't think there was a difference in the XJ/TJ non-disco shafts.
