Purty much. Might need some motor mounts, but it wouldn't be bad. Shoot doon't you have a 304 already?
I thought I read on Jeep Forum that all the v8's use the same mounts.
Thats alot of motor!!!!
Any motor that usually has a 4 as the first digit for the cubic inches is gonna break some stuff.....:tinysmile_aha_t: :tinysmile_twink_t2:

haha. I dont know if I should. I am just starting to think this 304 in mine is going to be troublesome. Still not sure if the rings are worn. Guess I should start by verifying that first, before dreaming of different motors.

You get a chance to do a comp check?

No. Not yet. I got to get some help. I am afraid of *&cking it up.
I did put the breather hose on last night. Changed the oil and changed the plug that was having issues again. Nothing so far. Tranny seems to be working nice and no drips underneath.

What time do you get home from work on average?
I have a comp gauge here somewhere with the plug fitting. I can help, just hard to schedule, some days I'm in the office in FFX, some days in Spotsy working on the jobsite, or in Winchester on a jobsite, or anywhere in between.
Regardless, I can give you a hand. Just need to try and meet up.

Well it depends for me too. Sometimes I pick up my son from daycare. But on days that I dont I am pretty flexible. I can usually make it back to manassas around 5PM.
I would appreciate the help. I can drive to your place or wherever is most convenient.

We'll get it figgered out. I can meet up after 5 if thats easiest one evening when I'm coming home from FFX. Days are getting long, only takes maybe 20 minutes.

If that price wasn't 4 times more than what my pile is worth, and I had the axles to tolerate the TQ, that seems like a fair price. Is the 401 built?

it's built mildly. Balnced and blue printed 4 years ago.
