finally buttoned up the manifold and stuff today.

The downpipe or whatever you call it from the manifold back has seen better days.

I had to weld up 2 hangers from rust breakage, and the downpipe is missing a cunk at the collar where it joins the manifold, and the collar is gone in one spot.

I put my hand on the muffler to try and wiggle the whole system to make sure it was tight and it felt soft too.

So looking for some input on a system maybe from manifold back, but leary of the cost.

Stock replacement is fine, might upgrade the muffler though.

Thoughts/advise/parts welcome.

It's been a month, still have issues?

When My CRX exhaust went south, I just had a muffler shop bend me a new one, and weld on a Flowmaster 40 series. It cost about a third of an aftermarket system. Good power, GREAT sound(no ricer boy farting sound when you get on it!) I also have toyed with the idea of going to a Cherrybomb or Hush thrush on the TJ, just for sh*ts and giggles. You can even buy the tubing and bend it yourself. More than one member of the boards has a hydraulic bender you could probably borrow. If you pack the tubing tightly with sand, it is the same as mandrel bending, no crushing of the tubing at the bends.

Hope you got/get it sorted!

Appreciate it G. I got it done, I made my own flange and did some more welding, got it all buttoned up. Should last a while.

Thanks again for the reply.
