Anyone sleeved their axles before?

I ordered some c gussets and axle sleeves for my front D44 last night, and the sleeve part looks sort of tricky.

looks like you are supposed to drill some holes through the casing and plug weld it. plus it says you should weld the cast iron center section to the stock axle tubes, but recommends tig for that part with stainless 312 rod...

Anyone know of any good write ups on it? or have experience with it?

The C gussets seam pretty straight forward, it's just he axle sleeves that seem like something I could mess up, haha..

Nosigma has done this. I know he's kept a build thread on naxja, whether it includes this or not. Pm him on this site and nova.

cool thanks. I know i probably don't need to sleeve them with only 37"s, but with my luck I think the more I can do now, the better. I'd rather have them overly beefed up then under, ya know? can't go wrong with a little extra "piece of mind"
