Uummm yeah....Im going to have to say negative on that one. While Ethel is understanding and all, I dont think she would be to happy about that one. Now if she actually knew how to swim, well that would be a different story....

Somewhere I have an old LandRover Owner's International magazine laying about with a cool picture of 2 old series 2's off the Welsh coast. Yes, off the coast, with the bow wave halfway up the windscreens! The article went on to discuss waterproofing done by the owners. One had a discovery drivetrain grafted in, so it was auto, but the other was almost stock. His distributor was basically one big glob of RTV. YJ owner's take note! :) Every seam and gap on engine,trans and tbox, diffs, etc. were sealed. An interesting feature on all Rovers(not sure about the LR3) is that both manual and auto bellhousings have a big round hole on the bottom for venting and draining. This hole is tapped so you can install a "fording plug" to seal it before you go swimming, keeping your clutch dry.
