No permission needed. She's getting her own TJ soon enough.....working a deal as we speak.

I'd like to be able to still mount the flares when I'm done, as I'd like to keep it road legalish....

Blair,

Did your wife get any photos of me last week trying to get up the far side of the gulch before getting winched out?

Rich

I went and pulled the rotor back off the CJ yesterday to drill out some broken bolts. I then went and walked around for maybe 45 minutes scouting out new places to make some trails.

After looking at these pics again, and walking past that smelly ass mud, I think I might stay on the dry land for a while........:tinysmile_fatgrin_t

I'm calling bullshit hombre. Pretty sure hindu's don't have chrome sombreo's. I know, I know, I'm a honky and my house is on wheels. :tinysmile_kiss_t4:

However if the Mrs.DES is Hindu, then all I can say is where do I sign up? :tinysmile_aha_t:

There needs to be another (deeper) water crossing (not as much mud) into the back corner area from somewhere around the old shelter along the creek. ...other than the front side of the damn.. Test out the non-greasable u-joints for longevity.

Went to Argentina on business a number of years ago (Jeep business, actually). Menus were overwhelmingly beef and huge cuts. One fellow explained it to me there were 40 million Argentinians and 100 million cattle. "We eat them or they'll eat us." I'm telling you, that smell is a revenge thing with cows. :tinysmile_aha_t:

If you go down past Matt's Bridge to where it turns up the hill, continue straight instead. There are some areas there that could be made into crossings. I know it is possible on the 4wheeler.
But really though any crossing you make will turn muddy quick from use.

That clearing across the creek from the 'treehouse' is a super muddy crossing area. I know it gave me difficulties on the 4wheeler trying to come back across.

There is some thick brush down in the back there. I bet there could be a couple places with some work. Not sure about deeeep mud though.

I agree, I was looking at a more shallow spot about 100 feet down stream yesterday when I was hiking around.

Why not replace the vacuum motor with the Cable Posi-lock?

If you want to see the setup, just look at Bob's YJ. Didn't we do it to his? I know we did the hand throttle for him, it's the same concept.

Have you pulled it off and checked the Shift Fork yet?

I used to break them a lot, kept a spare in each Jeep. Only takes a few minutes and some nimble fingers like yours to replace.

Thanks Bill. I do want to get the same set up that Bob has but $$$ needs to go elsewhere right now. The only problem was that the hose came off the axle. Once i plugged it in I had very good 4wd over there.

Once the front tires slipped in that ditch there was nowhere to go but deeper.....

Get a small hose clamp at the hardware store than. Less than a $1. clamp that puppy on there.

Worm clamp will do ya, or better than that Stocker late model (97-up 297 ujoints) solid shaft... Swap and be done. cut up a cookie sheet and cover the hole!
