Looking for advice. Since I put the 33s on my power is down and 5th gear is a distant memory. I want to upgrade from 3.73 to 4.56 ratios. Can I upgrade the gears now and upgrade the axles in the rear later without changing anything with the gearing again? I know the splines are different on the super 35 axles. I want to do the gearing now and put in an OX locker with upgraded axles later. I don't want to fool with a complete rear end swap to D44 or F8.8. Also any suggestion on where to get the gears?

The ring and pinion have nothing to do with the axle splines but you need to know what gears you currently have 3:73 and up for 1 carrier and 3:55 and down for another carrier so if you got to a 4:11 0r 4:56 you need to make sure you have the correct carriers.

I definately have 3.73, I checked when I put the lift kit on.

Then you will be fine with just the ring and pinions plus pinion bearings for now plus a crush sleeve
