I hate lifted Jeeps with the skid plate at stock height.
I don't have money for a Tummy Tuck.
I got a bashed in stock tbox plate that sucks as far as strength goes.
I have an S10 blazer with an NP231J like my Wrangler.
It uses a tubular frame hugging cross member.
Maybe if the frame widths are right I can make the chevy part work on the jeep.

It wouldnt be anything to make something on your own. Check your Q-tech cataloge they have tube crossmembers back in the section where you can buy a frame or body parts.

if you watched fourwheeler tv the one they built was just a flat piece of 1/4 inch steel with some angle iron welded to it

That is what mine is made out of.. box tube on the frame rails and 1/4" steel plate bolted to it... with C - channel welded to the plate to make it stiffer.

I would love to figure out a cheap way to do this on Jen's LJ, let me know if it works, I would love to see it!
