Those of you that know me know I have a tendancy to overbuild. I'm selling my XJ. I'd love not to do so, but as I am being laid off and am currently training the Indians who will take my job I really have no choice. I cannot spend the money to finish it up and I need to pay off some debts to clear the monthly payments and get myself in better shape for what's to come.

I'm only asking $6k for the jeep and everything that relates to it (specialized tools, jackstands, hi-lift jack, ball joint presses, etc.).

I will post a detailed listing tomorrow of what I have in it part's wise. Suffice to say the axles and steering have 6k in them, and with the suspension etc. it's a pretty sweet deal for the buyer.

I'm not going to flex on the price. If I don't get this price pretty fast then I'll begin pulling it apart. I just hate to do so after putting so many hours of my life into it. And for someone looking for the ultimate family 4x4 to go out in this is it. It's what I designed it for. The parts won't let you down. I meant this as something I could take my wife and daughter out in and not suffer any major breakdown that would rain crap on their fun. If you break something in the driveline it's your own stupidity that did it. On 35's this thing should not fail you unless you're just plain all right foot.

If you're at all interested I suggest simply coming over to see it, what I'm throwing in, and then make up your mind.

If you've ever wanted to build a solid XJ then I've got a hell of an XJ for you to look at and there's not much needed to finish it up.

The build sheet is coming. I spent 4 hours on itemizing things and I'm not yet close to done. Since I took this off the trail and began rebuilding it almost everything is brand new. The front and rear 44s are solid, all alloy, detroits and 4.88s new disc brakes front and rear, and all new down to the Timken bearings.

I also have a high-performance rebuilt 4.0 for it I'm selling seperately for $2k but if you want them both I'll call it $7500 and be happy. The engine has near $2k just in labor and machine shop work. All done by Bobby at Fairfax Auto Parts and the list of parts that went into it is solid and well thought out.

Best things is to just call me and come see it. The engine is at the high school that Mike teaches at, the jeep is at my house and you're welcome to come see. I'm telecommuting most days (because the Indians already took most of the other jobs and so the office is empty). Trust me for $6k you'll be very, very happy (maybe even blown away) with what you get.
