I have submitted a bit for a silent action going on at Ramstein AB.

Its for a 1991 XJ. I think its a limited. It has an automatic tranny and Im fairly sure a 6cyl. It has leather seats so I think its a limited edition.

It has 211,000 miles on it. It needs new tires, brakes (doesnt say if front rear or all around are needed), the passenger side windsheild wiper doesnt work and the rear view mirror is missing. Also the exhaust is bashed in pretty good so there is some exhaust work needed.

Beyond that, the interior looks like a 17 year old vehicle. Clean but worn. the body is straight though save one small scratch on the passenger side. The skid on the gas tank, if you can call it that, looks like its never been drug over anything. There is alot of recent dried mud underneath, but its the only sign of what someone might call abuse.

Ohh and its a european edition. Until all of the problems noted are fixed it cant be registered to be driven other than to the auction winners home.

Minimum bid is $350.

What would you bid?

Im also pretty sure its got the Chrysler 8.25 rear end and not the dana 35. I had never seen a high pinion axle before today....least not in person. Very nice.

If I do win it I do have my hands full with the exhaust though. Yikes. Pics soon.

To late man. Once I get the pics up you'll see, its not a bad looking jeep, it just needs some TLC.

The upshot of this is that at the the cheap price I bid on it, if I win it, the wife can't say a whole lot about me spending money to put on a new header and exhaust along with new carpet and a tune up kit for the engine. I have done brakes for me and doing them is like changing out an air filter. Easy and fun, something to get me out of the house for a few days.
