Whats a 4.2? Is it 1.7 less of 6.9?
MUDBUG

lol...no, that would be a 5.2...but I'd be happy with that. What would that be...a 302ci bored out about 10 over? lol
Mike...I'm glad your a shop teacher and not a math teacher ;)

I've got the lovely 2.5 in my jeep. When that dies probably switching a 4.0 in and I'll have to switch out the AX 5 for an AX15.

Let me see...6.9 minus 1.7 = 5.2
or, 4.2 plus 1.7 = 5.9
Hey...we're both right! I love that new math!

I was impressed with the 2.5L when we drove one across country. It was sprung over with 33's and towing a 15ft jet boat and it held its own while only occassionally having to draft the truckers to keep it at 70mph on the highway.. .

That must have had some serious gears in it.

My second YJ is a 1989 w/ a 4.2L (Now a 5.0L 302 Mass Air Ford Small Block)
and the third... is for the wife and it is is a 1989 YJ 4.2L automatic.
