Come and get it.. its in the way and I don't need it.
Good for parts/rebuild... unsure whats wrong with it, could be bent shift fork??
basically, its stuck in gear, doesn't seem to want to shift and because of that, it doesn't spin...
Just figured I would see if anyone wanted it before I trash it...
Its in Gainesville, VA..
Ill take it! PMing ya now.

Rick can't seem to make it out to get it... so its still up for grabs if anyone wants a free NP231...
This will be given to the trash man soon, so if anyone wants it (or anyone you know) make it quick, as I need to get it out of the garage ASAP!!

Mike,
I currently don't have a way to move it... My jeep is having issues and isn't reliable at the moment (I broke down less then a mile from my house Tuesday... ended up being a fuel delivery issue that I haven't found yet...)
And there is no way its going in the Beamer or my motorcycle!!:D
Know anyone else in the area (I am in Gainesville right off 66) that may be able to get it to ya?

Let's figure it out. I ride through there twice a day. Can put it on the work truck and Mike or Rick and I can meet up.

Let me get this straight, you have a big work truck for picking up a t-case... but the last time you picked stuff up from me (I was in the old house in Spotsy then...) you came to pick up a bunch of crap, including 4- 33" tires if I am not mistaken.... In a VW GOLF!! :D
Shoot me a PM if you want to pick it up, and I can give you the new place directions/#

Well the work truck isn't big....it's a Chebby Colorado, but it's a ride to work that I don't pay for. We can stash the case on th floor in the extracab.
Yea, sold the VW, tired of repair bills on both. I think the newer cars are better, but both of ours were 2000 models, over 300k combined, and nothing but electrical problems. Not to mention mine was diesel and hers took high test.
Actually saving money by driving something on 87 and no repairs and one less car to insure.
PM incoming....

Blair, if you can't work it out, I might be going to Gainesville Sunday morning. Depends on whether I can get my transf case adjustment done and front diff back together once I open it up, LOL. Mike, I could deliver to you maybe at a M&G. I'll be around all next week for a change.

Yeah, I am really worried about fuel economy... that's why I'm on 37's... it really helps fuel economy.
I wasn't making the fuel point, I just found it funny that he was putting big items in a little car, and now is a smaller item in a truck :D Thats all
That's awesome Mike, glad he will still be able to use it... He has tried to make it out about 4 times now, and something always came up so he told me to offer it up to someone else...
I feel kinda bad that I couldn't just swing it by the shop considering how close you are to my office Mike... but the jeep most likely wouldn't make it yet...

I did get lotsa looks in that car. Had a 258 and many trans and axles in it too. Guy off Jeep Forum couldn't believe the Scout axle under the CJ now was going to fit.
It did and it stunk like hell with the gear oil.
Anyway, I'll get it today. Mike you around next week?
