Looks like you all had a blast and came out relatively unscathed . . . too bad not all of us could say that.
I busted a drive shaft on the low blacks and Don managed to go through 3 tires in about 10 minutes.
1 came off the bead, 1 ripped a sidewall (these 2 roughly at the same time) and a little later he ripped off a valve stem.
I know I was due, I have been wheeling at Crozet for almost 2 years with little damage.
Oh well, it was a great weekend anyway!
Hope to see you all on the trails again soon!

Try stuffing this into your browser address if you are having problems: great-view.net/Crozet - 3-4-2006/
Images should load but... People had asked about getting my collection on CD at Crozet. That's not a problem, just toss me a PM and you can pick one up Wednesday at Mighty Mikes, or I'll throw out the option of everyone who has photos send or post them and I'll burn them all to CD as a total collection. Movies also, if you have them.
Edited to add: I hear rumor the code I use (generated by Batch Thumbs) is not Netscape friendly. Back to notepad to see about fixing that.

Sorry guys, think the CD exchange will have to be next week. I wasn't planning on going to my every other Wednesday meeting but some people are bailing, I have to be there to fill in. Will see how it goes, might be able to excuse myself and see you guys at MM's.
I am working out the details of an FTP site for you folks with images and movies to get them to me to archive on CD and pass out.

Here is the plan....
I have a development server at work that I can trash. I'll be taking it home and putting it on a segregated network and sticking a FTP server on it. I have a third party doing my DNS so I need to play with then to see if I can get the server listed. If not you will have to type in an IP address (not a big deal). I am not planning on making this open to the general public. When it is up and running I will post stating that if you have content or want to browse send me a PM and I'll give you a username and password. I will also PM all the BODs in advance of what the default username and password is so that you folks can request access through them.
I am flexible on burning CDs. I would love to get stuff everyone wants to contribute first but if people really want a CD I can crank off a couple to hand out at Logan's. Those of you out of the area shoot me a PM and we'll work out mailing or hand delivery. I'll be down in Madison County next weekend doing trail cutting Saturday, just as a heads up (note to self: fix chainsaw this weekend).

Dave,
I' have some pics that I will like to contribute, from the last trip and Crozet. When ever you have this set up, please let me know so that I can dump all of my pictures on to your server.
Yes! I will like a copy on CD.

I was driving around a little bit today and the front end started to have a minor shake, when I got home I looked under the jeep and found that Crozet had given me a little surprize. 8O

It wasn't the tire, but I don't know what I hit. The sway bar was pushed into the frame and there is a bunch of dirt almost like sandstone all over. I'm just glad that what ever it was didn't take out the break line.

StreetDoc,
Are you sure you didn't try to get some pyramid action in Central Park the other morning? :D
(for those who have never been there, Central Park has these 3 foot tall
concrete pyramids at some entrances to parking lots. They're supposed to protect the curb from semis.)

I apologize, I got off to a really late start throwing up this FTP site.
It is up and it is running (I hope).
For sanity and safety sake I am limiting access to registered forum users. To those of you out there in the pending approval queue I apologize and we can work something out. To the rest of you NUTS, PM me and/or the BODs and one/both/all will send you the brief instructions.
If you have any technical questions send them to me, not the BOD.
