Just met some of you last night at Chick Fil A, and today at the Falls Church auto show...and incredibly my first time out meeting you guys, I won a front bumper!! All for donating to a worthy cause http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ . So thank you all for your kindness and patriotism. Along the same lines, if you have not seen this trailer yet, if you have 5 minutes of some quiet time to give it due respect, watch: http://www.warriorsthefilm.com/Movie.html .

I am new to Jeeps, clueless with anything mechanical, and really good at breaking things...so I have a lot to learn. I bought a TJ in the past year thinking I got a great deal, and would get back into hunting, camping, four wheeling etc...but just recently after breaking the bank and having it to 3 different shops have it running somewhat okay. Id really like to get it in check for some off roading, maybe camping, and if by chance anyone on here is into varmint/small game hunting, trap or skeet, IDPA/IPSC, Id enjoy getting back into those things as well although I know it probably means driving a bit outside of the area...turned into a bit of a softie living in this metro area and want to get back to my roots a little.

I dont have a picture to post, but I have a 98 TJ, 4 banger (ugh never again-hard transition after always having HO V8s), 4" lift, 33 ATs. Needs some tuning up with a little wobble at 40-45mph no one has seemed to be able to correct totally (been aligned 2x, tires balanced 3x, new adj track bar), has some rust underneath I want to address, and Im going to need to work on getting a rear bumper, full size spare, jack, tow hooks, and other odds and ends. Also new shocks, stabilizer, maybe adjustable lower control arms. I broke the bank taking it to shops so wont be able to pull the trigger on everything it probably needs all at once.

Look forward to meeting you all again soon.

Be Safe

Welcome! Just in case anyone else is interested besides you and me, as far as trap & skeet goes, Bull Run has a great facility. I've shot there a few times and its a blast. Unfortunately, I no longer have a suitable shotgun for it. I don't think I'd hit much with an AR...

For other general lead-delivered destruction, the Cove in Winchester has an outdoor range (i.e. wall of dirt) where you can shoot anything. They also have camping and, every once in a blue moon, wheelin' for Jeeps. Most of the time there is ATV and dirtbike from what I can gather.

Nice, well next trip back to my folks house in PA, I could pick up a few good shotguns. Since I havent found any varmit hunting or places to shoot that are not indoor ranges, Ive left all my personal stuff back "home home". Id like to learn some trap/skeet, its been a long time. I didnt know if there were any outdoor ranges that had regular IPSC or IDPA locally.

If you like shooting, check out www.stormmountain.com (http://www.stormmountain.com) , only 2 hours away, and Ive taken my squad out there a few times, and done other training there...its a blast, and last weekend thats where I got my TJ its first mud and rocks too!
