what i do it get the torx bit put in in the head of the bolt and the hit it with a 48 ounce hammer 2-3 times and then try to loosen it. Never had one not come off yet!

Oh, I'm VERY familiar with those, and left handed drill bits too.
You know NOTHING of despair until you've broken off a bolt extractor
in the screw you're trying to remove while crammed under your econoline's
hood! Just try drilling that tool steel extractor to try and get it out!
I'd torch it too, but I want to save the paint around them.
After I buy a new T-40 bit tomorrow, I'll try the hammer trick. It should help on that factory green loctite.

I had the same problem when I installed my mirrors. I ended up drilling it out. It did help using the hammer method. I wonder if one of those impact hammer driven deals would work...

Luckily, the head is still intact, just filled with broken off chrome vanadium.
I'm going to try and drill that, then thread in a self tapping screw to pry it out.

Yea...I actually drilled mine out using progressively larger bits until I could pick the screw threads out.

Just got a new set of bits, but they are hardened for impact use AND drilled for tamper proof!
Yeah, that's the ticket!
