MJ meet and greet, Tues 20 May, Shanes Rib Shack

If anyone is near the Fort Belvoir area, we are getting together at Shanes on 20 May, time TBD, but probably 1800 HRS. Military and their family get a 20% off discount and the food is not too expensive to begin with.

Here is the thread. Anyone that owns a jeep is invited. We are going to try to flood Shanes Rib Shack with jeepers.

If you know you are going, please post here so I have an accurate number to pass to the management. Maybe they will cut us a deal if we bring a bunch of people that that day.

Like i posted on nova, we have members on MJ that are not a member of a local jeep club. This is a good time to have some face time with new members and welcome them to the area. We have been pushing people to get involved with a local jeep club because they offer a support system and continuity that MJ cannot provide in most cases, so being able to see the new people face to face and tell them about rides and Beltway meet and greets is just one reason you may want to attend. We seem to get new members from the NOVA area every day or so.

Just incase you guy are worried about any travel restrictions for travelling to a meet and greet south of the beltway, there are currently none in place. as a matter of fact, a trip south of the beltway only requires that you have a current drivers license. If everyone was waiting to check with their passport office or maybe the state department's website to see if their were any restrictions or recommended immunizations, there are currently none. Feel free to venture south of the mixing bowl. It is not really that bad down here. I know this is a little further than thr 5 minute drive some of you may have to get to the wing place or logans, but cheap bbq may be worth the gas. :)
