Well, this one came as a surprise.......

Out playing at my favorite spot (JeepenSoldier has a smile on his face) and decided to try the hill climb in 2 wheel drive again. Lost traction in a little articulation spot at the steepest section and the old girl came to a sudden stop without power....

Quickly in reverse and the power was back on and I got her back down the hill and she died again. Some engine smoke and she did not want to start. I gave her a second to catch her breath.......and for my passanger ot clean out his pants then I started her up and Bang - the old Check Engine light is on.

Well, not to be defeated I put her in 4 wheel drive and went right up and back to work. Came out to slide across the parking lot to scrap my window and was greeted by the Check Engine light again....

Anyone have a bit of advise on what the old girl could be suffering from beside a fool for a driver...that is a given.

I tried the on-off-on-of-on in 5 seconds thing to try and read a light I got, but it didn't work, no codes were displayed. As for the light, when it died, the computer could have read it as a misfire and set the light, or venus could have been in declination or something, you never know what may throw a light!

I know, this post is absolutely no help at all........

Misfire, Misfire, Misfire...Lock and clear all weapons! Wait....wrong misfire.
(I know only a Joe will get it...)

Anyhow, the old girl apparently just had the sniffles as she has fought off the pesky warning light and is back to her old self.

Thanks for all of the flowers and get well cards!

Actually, anybody with range time gets it.
It would surprise some people to know that I have all my Marksman medals
and actually could participate in close order drill without embarrassing the platoon!
