Yea, he just now started commenting in nova. Didn't know he was on this board.

JK's stand for JunK :) No wonder only the non-wheelers and soccer mom's have them. :tinysmile_fever_t:

I sold my TJ last summer because it didn't have room for my dogs and gear and just picked up a rescue green '07 Rubi Unlimited. Mods coming in the spring.
Don't worry about Diego, he fears change. Diego- that's what CJ owners said about the YJ, and YJ owners said about the TJ, and so and and so on.......

I have been on various trail rides with JK's, and all they have been are nuisance's on trail rides. I have seen them overheat, fans failing during water crossings, exhaust leaks, stalling during heavy trail riding, getting pulled from spots were stock TJ's have gone through, etc..etc.... I like the way they look, I just don't think that they were built for trail riding. The sole purpose of those vehicles is to carry children to and from soccer practice and extra room for the groceries. :tinysmile_twink_t2:

Until they prove themselves to be trail worthy, my opinion stands.

Who wrote this for you? It's not your usual broken english. :tinysmile_aha_t: And call a brother back!

Que? The only thing that will be broken is the JunK jeep on the first trail outing. :tinysmile_cry_t2:

We all can't own ten cars, jeeps, zuks, whatever and park them on the lawn. Those HOA fines must be piling up.

HOA.... what is this that you speak of?

No need to park on the grass.... My driveway is big enough to park 4 cars and 2 in the garage. Sorry bro.

Like that Zuk, bro. Hope it can pull my JK out of a hole when the time comes:tinysmile_twink_t2:

The Zuk wont, but the winch after I strap the Zuk to a tree will.

What happened to both of your TJ's? I know my JK won't be able to do what my TJ did, but I had to make sacrifices. Got rid of a loaded '08 Tundra limited to get back in a Jeep.

I got rid of almost all my vehicles with the exception of 3, we kept the LR, Black XJ, and the Zuk. I got tired of insuring all those vehicles and paying taxes, Funk that!

I love how people knock the JK....

same trans as the TJ
same tcase as the TJ
same Axles as the TJ
more HP
more Torque
fit a bigger tire

Sure, it's a bit wider.
Sure, the FOUR DOOR is longer

but I know of quite a few that will out wheel your 'zuk Diego...

is it the Zuk or Diego they will out wheel.....
Yup has a bit more power, yup has a bit more torque. BUT its at higher RPMS... Its also heavier, wider, longer, more plasticky(sp).. The axles are a bit stronger than the OE tj/lj though..

The RPM issue isn't a problem if you're geared properly..... I do agree with the heavier, wider, longer issue.... Plasticky? maybe a little off the showroom (bumper covers, grill..), but most of that is fixed by the owner anyways...

Most of the problems that I have seen with the JK's have been electrical.

I have an 08 2dr on 35's does good enough for me off-road but still have plenty to upgrade on it.

man oh man... I've owned 2 JK's and a few TJ's and I'll have to say:

I'VE NEVER SEEN A TJ DO ANYTHING MY JK CAN'T DO... (minus fitting through some tight spots, haha) I'm just saying....

yes the early models like my first 07 i bought in 06 had electrical issues, but it still owned everything i threw at it. by the 08's like my current rig, i've yet to see any electrical issues. and people breaking their fans in water are just idiot drivers going too fast. our bodies are flimsy and cheap, yes, but so is every new car made now, thanks to regulations and what not. but our frames are stronger and stiffer. our axles are stronger. we have way more flex stock then any other jeep ever made. and you can't beat the "straight out the box" traction control on a JK, even the X models.

so say what you want all day long, the JK Rubicon is the best production off road vehicle ever made:)

but i'm not here to argue just here to get Diego all hyped up:)

I love my JK Rubicon, and I loved my last TJ Rubicon, but I'd take my JK over the TJ all day long.

see you guys on the trails...

EDIT: now that i said all this, I'm probably gonna break down tomorrow at the gulch, haha... that's my kind of luck:)

I went with a black 2 door sport. Added a 3" bds lift with 35" km2s with cragar soft 8s. Put fab four front and rear bumpers on and some lights. I'll post pcs in 2 weeks went I get back from warm and sunny south Florida.
