Should I stick with the 4.10's or bump up to 4.56/4.88's? My 8.8 came with 4.10, and I'm having trouble keeping it under budget if I have to regear the front and back. I ride on 35's with a 5 spd as a DD. Thanks for any and all input.

I think you would be fine on 35's as a DD.
If you are going to wheel more, Id say 4:56 / 4:88's

I'll definitely be wheeling this thing, but it will serve primarily as my DD.

Then Id say no more than 4:56.

But could I live with 4.10's? If not permanently, then for now?

yeah you could live with 4.10 in a 5sp. After about 70ish it might want to run out of juice, but should be fine.

Cool. As everyone, especially 02tj, can probably tell, I'm completely in the dark about this and am trying to find out how and what to do to put this axle in. Again, thanks all for feedback and advice.

I ran 35's and 4:10's for about two years till I got my 37's. I'm looking to setup to 4:88's this summer if I can find a good guy to install them or show me how to setup gears.
